| The Tea Room |
The small but cute cafe run by volunteers (tucked away quietly behind the shop) and the passion of its owner Reka, is to support the street children of the Himalayan regions of India, Tibet and Nepal through a Scottish registered charity called Green Tara. The cafe is also a haven of peace for a small and growing community of like minded and open people who welcome all to join them in this special place. |

This year, through the sale of teas and coffees, one thousand pounds has been raised and used by Green Tara to set up a house in Dehra Dun, Northern India to nurture and care for 10 of the many vulnerable young children in this beautiful, inaccessible and sometimes harsh region.

The ‘almost free’ lunch, every Friday is a further effort by Reka and Julie to generate support and more funds to help the communities and the children of the Himalaya region. Your two pound donation (of course you can give much more!) which is 160 Indian Rupees, will feed one of these children for a whole week. |
